Managing Director
Simon was a chief architect and head trouble-shooter for countless high-profile projects and clients for 9+ years.
As a consultant and then Head of Research at DAT Group, he found novel and highly complex solutions to prove new technologies and to prove business cases.
Simon's technical prowess and communications skills allow him to help clients and partners capitalize on new technologies. These range from highly-complex server and corporate systems to esoteric wireless, radio and networking solutions.
Simon is the original founder of Matchbox Mobile, and holds a degree in Mathematics from the Open University. Simon has a thirst for good coffee and works of art. He enjoys cycling, rock climbing and roller blading, too.
Andrew
Operations Director
Andrew has spent the better part of the last decade driving successful mobile software projects.
From early banking prototypes on PDAs for UK retail banks through to remote device support systems for US carriers.
Andrew consistently forges strong relationships with partners and clients. He's personally known key players at Microsoft, Sprint, Tesco, Orange and HTC for many years.
Andrew graduated from the University of York in 2000. He has a degree in Mathematics and is PRINCE2-certified project manager. He lives in Brighton with his wife, cat, chef knives and swimming goggles.
Richard
Sales Director
Richard has been working in the telecoms sector for over a decade, originally helping one of the UK's largest Telcos, COLT Telecom PLC, establish a successful Internet and hosting business.
In 2003, Richard moved from wired infrastructure to wireless software, joining Synchronica PLC. Richard ran the Americas sales team, growing it into the most successful region for the company in revenues.
Richard holds a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from Canterbury University in New Zealand.
James
Creative Director
James has been creating compelling designs in a wide range of disciplines for over 15 years.
Early in his career he began to focus on user interface and user experience design in the emerging PDA and smartphone markets. His work for clients such as Microsoft, Tesco, Motorola and Verizon put James at the forefront of small-screen user experience design. His high-profile and cutting edge designs have been seen and enjoyed by tens of thousands of professionals and consumers, including early adopters of the USA’s first Windows Mobile smartphone.
James continues to be driven to develop, adopt and improve best practices for handheld device user experiences, and his growing portfolio of work testifies to his unique experience and industry-leading skills in creating designs that bring out the best in every platform.
James holds a Degree in Visual Communication Design from The Wellington Polytechnic School of Design in New Zealand.
