Full-time Software Tester
Company & Role
Matchbox Mobile wants to hear from experienced software testers. We are looking for high quality candidates who have a strong QA background to join our UK development team. Our UK development team are a highly reputable and experienced team of mobile developers. We’re a services based company that develops custom solutions for mobile operators, OEMs, platform providers, and media companies.
Skills Required
For the position of software tester, we require that applicants have a minimum of 3 years commercial IT experience within a software testing role. Candidates should be highly proficient at developing and executing test scripts and test suites, and issue reporting, with a good working knowledge of standard QA methodologies.
Knowledge of mobile platforms is an advantage (Windows Mobile/Phone, Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, Symbian, and BREW/BREW MP). The position requires working closely with project team members – QA lead, developers, designers, customers and project managers.
Candidates must be self-starters and excellent communicators who thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while potentially working remotely from both customers and other team members.
Salary
Market rate dependent on skill set and experience.

Full-time QA Lead

Skills Required
For the position of QA lead, we require that applicants have a minimum of 4 years commercial software testing experience, and a minimum of 1 year as test lead. Candidates will own the strategic direction of the company’s QA approach, working at a high level with company directors while overseeing QA implementation project by project. The candidates should be highly proficient at managing a team while developing and executing test scripts and test suites, issue reporting, management and triage with in-depth knowledge of QA methodologies.
Knowledge of mobile platforms is preferable (Windows Mobile/Phone, Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, Symbian, and BREW/BREW MP), with experience of testing on these platforms a distinct advantage.
Candidates must be self-starters and excellent communicators who thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while potentially working remotely from both customers and other team members.

Full-time Mobile Software Developer

We are looking for high quality candidates who have strong C, C++, C#, and/or Java programming backgrounds to join our UK development team. Our UK development team are a highly reputable and experienced team of mobile developers. We’re a services based company that develops custom solutions for mobile operators, OEMs, platform providers, and media companies.
Skills Required
For the position of mobile developer, we require that applicants have a minimum of 5 years commercial development experience, and a minimum of 3 years experience, programming for at least one but preferably two or more mobile platforms. Strong C, C++, C#, or Java skills are essential, along with a good working knowledge of the mobile platform API and standard development methodologies and libraries relevant to the platform. We development on most platforms so are always interested to hear from developers with experience of Windows Mobile (both native and managed code), Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, Symbian, and BREW/BREW MP.
The role involves a high level of participation in application design and architecture; previous work experience should reflect this capability.
Candidates must be self-starters and excellent communicators who are capable of delivering self contained code and deliverables including technical documentation while potentially working remotely from both customers and other team members.
Salary
Negotiable at market rate, dependent on skill set and experience.
