Dashwire chooses Matchbox to develop connected service smartphone clients.

Dashwire is an exciting new mobile company with an award-winning Connected Service offering for smartphone users. Dashwire’s service seamlessly synchronizes your mobile phone data, integrates it with the web and makes it easy to manage, enhance, and share the memories captured on your phone with others.

Dashwire approached Matchbox in 2006 to develop the original Windows Mobile client prototype. It was vital the client be developed quickly to validate the concept and test with users.

Matchbox worked closely with the Dashwire team to integrate the Windows Mobile client with server components to deliver core features of the service including:

•  Wireless backup of contacts
•  Automatic media uploads
•  Synchronizing bookmarks and call history
•  Sending text messages via Dashwire’s website

Matchbox gave Dashwire the jumpstart they needed to prove the concept was viable. Dashwire successfully launched its service in 2007, and was named Best Mobile Consumer Application by LAPTOP Magazine at CTIA 2008. Matchbox is now working with Dashwire on expanding its service to Symbian users, expected in Q4 2008.
